Apple iOS 11 supports reading NFC tags

A few days ago at the WWDC 2017 conference (The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference), Apple announced that the new iOS 11 firmware will support reading NFC tags and messages in NDEF format. This means that iPhones from version 7 onwards will be able to read NFC tags just like devices running on the Android platform can.
This is one of the breakthrough moments the NFC world has been waiting for. NFC technology has so far struggled precisely with the problem of compatibility with the iOS system - that is now about to change. Apple has also published documentation for the NFC developer core on its website, which you can view, for example, here
According to the documentation, the devices that will support NFC reading are: iPhone 7, iPhone 7+ and the upcoming iPhone 8. In theory, users of the iPhone 6+ mobile device could also see this feature, as it is also on the list of devices that will receive the update and the new iOS 11 firmware.
As for the launch date of the updates, iOS 11 is currently available for download in a beta version. The official release date is estimated to be sometime around the release of the new iPhone 8, that is, sometime in the next three months.
